Hispanic Politics: Sec. Castro unveiled his People First Disability Plan

Sec. Castro unveiled his People First Disability Plan

Almost thirty years ago, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) transformed the landscape of our nation to ensure that every person can fully participate in our society and have an equal opportunity to pursue their highest potential. No matter who you are or where you live, you deserve dignified work, decent housing, quality education, affordable health care, to live independently and achieve self-sufficiency. I’m running for president to fight for the most vulnerable people and the most marginalized communities so that everyone can make progress and prosper, including the more than 60 million Americans with disabilities.

Mid County Democratic Club and others.

Featured Speakers:
Adriana Gonzalez: Gonzalez and Cartwright Law | Immigration
Mark Schneider: ACLU | Amendment 4
Julie Seaver: Compass GLCC | LGBTQA Rights

Notes from Jim Gibbs, Chairman of WPB Democratic Club.

First, I attended a Coalition meeting of Club leaders were State Attorney & MSNBC commentator Dave Aronberg spoke. He nailed why the Republican excuses for Trump are ALL wrong, and why there are a number of grounds for impeachment including bribery, and it is not about a "quid pro quo". Why more leaders do not attend these meeting I don't know.
The West Palm Club held a meeting at the Butcher Shop downtown, great turn out and speakers. VP Nicole DeFlorio introduced Adriana Gonzalez Esq on immigration and Julie Seaver on LGBT rights, who both gave good talks. And a spokesman for the ACLU.
One of the points Adriana made on Veterans Day was that Trump has ended the historic practice of children born on military basis overseas of Military personnel who are permanent residents, are no longer citizens.
New members; Paulette Armstead Esq., Arlene Ustin, Julie Seaver, and Dennis Perry. Thank you.
Claudia Mendoza's big little daughter won the 50/50 after selling many bumper stickers, well deserved.
Candidates; Paulette Armestead running for Supervisor of Elections, she has great credentials. Hon. Michelle L Sylvester called to say she was attending the Women's Caucus event. Chief Clarence Williams who is thinking of running. Chelsea Reed running for Council in Palm Beach Gardens, share her face book page, and Commissioner Christina D'Elosua Lambert running for re-election.
Thank Hispanic Chair Rolando Chang Barrero, Mid County Club Pres. Matt Matthew Kurit, former County Chair Carol Ann LoehndorfCarlton Cartwright of the Veterans Caucus, for attending.
